Clarksburg Neighbors Alliance
One Clarksburg. Infinite Possibilities.
Advocacy, Unity, Belonging
Clarksburg, Maryland is a vibrant, growing community with deep roots and big dreams. The Clarksburg Neighbors Alliance exists to bring our voices together, advocate for what matters, and build the kind of town where everyone can thrive. Whether you're new to Clarksburg or a longtime resident, you're invited to help shape our future—together.
We’re here to turn frustration into fuel for building something better.

Current & Recent Projects
The Clarksburg Neighbors Alliance fosters community spirit, advocating for civic, economic, ecological, and cultural welfare while valuing diverse opinions of all residents in Clarksburg, MD.

Summer 2024 Community Survey
Over 600 Clarksburg residents participated in our community-wide survey—the largest outreach effort we've ever had. The results were clear:
Top concerns: Recreation, crime, education, and transportation
Notable insight: In Cabin Branch, social engagement and transportation emerged as especially pressing issues.
These results are guiding our work and helping us advocate for what matters most to our neighbors.

Community Asset Mapping
We're building a Community Asset Map using principles of Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD). In our Public Townhall Event, we began identifying the strengths, talents, and resources already present in Clarksburg.
This map is a living document of Clarksburg’s identity and potential. Check out the Asset Map and add to it.

Transportation & M83 Advocacy
Clarksburg rallied around the M83 Midcounty Highway issue—and made waves.
Though M83 may be dropped from the County’s master plan, our unified stance left an impact. This was a true David vs. Goliath moment, and Clarksburg showed up. Now, planners are paying attention.
We continue to push for meaningful transportation solutions that meet Clarksburg’s growing and unique needs.

Gateway Sector Plan Engagement
The Clarksburg Gateway Sector Plan is shaping the future of our community, focusing on the largely undeveloped eastern side of I-270.
This plan:
Updates the 1994 Clarksburg Master Plan
Reviews land use, zoning, transportation, environment, and housing needs
Engages residents, business owners, and stakeholders in shaping growth
CNA members are deeply involved in this planning process to ensure that Clarksburg’s voice is heard.

Clarksburg Library Advocacy
We're working to ensure the Clarksburg Library stays on track—in the county budget and on schedule. Access to a well-resourced library is essential, and we’re keeping the pressure on to protect this cornerstone of community learning. This will be the first major County presence in Clarksburg.
